Here are some of our favorite cocktail recipes. We both like our drinks strong and we like to taste the alcohol, so please keep this in mind when you make these for yourself. One of our favorite restaurants in San Clemente, CA is "The Fisherman's Restaurant". located on the San Clemente pier. It's within walking distance of our home so we go there every now and then to have a cocktail and watch the sunset. Our favorite cocktail is the Cotton's. This is rum based tropical drink that packs a punch. After numerous tries, and some inside intelligence, we recreate it here.
You need the following ingredients:
Fill a tall glass with ice. Pour 1-2 shots of light rum into the glass, add half a shot of the Orange Liqueur. Fill half of the remainder of the glass with Orange Juice and the other half with the Pineapple juice. Stir to mix. Now float the dark rum on top. Feel free to "free pour" the drink by just estimating the amounts of liquor and adjusting to taste. This is a great drink for a hot day.
